Statement from Daniel Levy, Spokesman for BETAR
BETAR categorically denies all allegations of wrongdoing.
As our founder, the great Zionist visionary Ze’ev Jabotinsky, declared:
“We hold that Zionism is moral and just. And since it is moral and just, justice must be done—no matter whether Joseph or Simon or Ivan or Ahmet agree with it or not.”
Founded in 1923 by Ze’ev Jabotinsky, BETAR is among the oldest and most influential Zionist movements in the world. BETAR represents mainstream Zionism and has played a foundational role in the establishment and defense of the State of Israel. Without BETAR, the modern Jewish state would not exist.
Two former Prime Ministers of Israel—Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir—were proud members of BETAR and went on to lead the Jewish state, embodying the values of courage, responsibility, and national commitment instilled by our movement.
BETAR proudly calls upon Zionists everywhere to come home to Israel and to actively participate in the continued strengthening of the Jewish nation.
BETAR maintains its global headquarters at Metzudat Ze’ev (Beit Jabotinsky) in Tel Aviv, a historic center of Zionist leadership. The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, maintains a personal office within the building.
BETAR US is a Delaware-based nonprofit organization, headquartered within the BETAR Worldwide offices in Israel, and operates in full alignment with BETAR’s historic mission and values.
BETAR remains steadfast in its commitment to Zionism, the Jewish people, and the State of Israel.
